kubler families in England

I have been researching Kublers in ireland for years now I have found many and am now looking for more kublers in england. I am particulary looking for some information on Augustus henry Kubler born 4- 2-1889 in Dublin and his family. He fought in the first world war was a private with the Royal ambulance Corps and married a frances Baxter in ireland in 1917. Frances Baxter was from Manchester. he may have moved to Manchester after the war.  can anyone help please frpm

Also a quick check through the indexes gives birth - Cyril A Kubler 1918 Dec qtr Salford 8d 7, mother Baxter

I checked through to 1925 and could  not see any others

There are three WW1 medal index cards on the NA website - http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/browse-refine.asp?searchType=browserefine&query=scope%3D245212%20&catID=10&pageNumber=1&queryType=1&mediaArray=* and enter just the surname.

Ancestry are putting these cards on line, so if you have an account you may get them for free. If not you can order them from the NA. They have just reduced the cost from £3.50 to £2 and for that you get cards for six men. You may be lucky and get all three in one hit.

If you need any help in interpreting the cards let me know.

Acestry are also giving free access to these cards as well as to WW1 pension files and service records during the month of November. Last time I had access they had only put the service records online for men with surnames beginning A to H. Only about 30% of records survived WW2 bombing. Google "burnt documents" for the full story.

The interesting surname caught my eye. It doesn't exactly strike me as a typically Irish one. May I ask what you know about their origins?
