Hello heywood , you have done wonderful seeking my Barrass family out and i don`t think thats Robert in 1851 ether.   So Robert was born Bedlington i see age 3 as he was born Bedlington on later census. Thats super and i have appreciated your help very much. Regards Gladys

That's the only Robert b around the right time. I don't know the area at all and from what I can see they moved around a lot - to get work I suppose at the various pits.

There is another one:

but we could be just clutching at straws. I have tried to check 1841 with no results either

Hello again heywood,    i shall keep that census as Robert in 1861 was 31 so should have been about 21 in 1851 but i know some people them days forgot their ages and can be 5 or 6 years out. You have done very well.  Many many thanks.  Regards Gladys.

Elizabeth is "with" Robert on Census 1861 .

She is enumerated as the "household" after his .

....    She is recorded as "wife" "Married" and " housekeeper

Elizabeth (nee Scott) was married to George Emery from Wales at the time of the 1861 census.  Robert Barrass and Elizabeth Emery (formerly Scott) were married Dec Qtr 1869 in Tynemouth.

Please would some kind person do me a look up for Robert Barrass aged about 41 born Percey Main, his wife Elisabeth aged about 40 born Gosforth, Johnstone E aged about 9 born Belsed, James E aged about 5 born Belsed (Belsed must be a miss spelling for something else.)   Much Appreciated. gladys1
