Death registrations.

I have just received a certificate of a relative who died 45 minutes after birth. He was born on the 16th August but the death was not registered until the 13th October. I was under the impression that deaths were to be registered in a short space of time. Could someone please advise me re this. Many thanks.

Hi

Time limit is 42 days from the birth of the child.    Perhaps there were extenuating circumstances given that the child died so soon after the birth
