Please can anyone help I am looking for Jones in Wales!!!!
« on: Tuesday 14 October 08 17:16 BST (UK) »
I am to find anything about May Jones, she was married in 1917 on the Isle Wight age 21 to Frederick White, her father was John Jones his trade was a platelayer. Frederick died 11 November 1918, there was a child by this marriage, (I can’t say any more, still living) on the baptism the mother Christian names were down as May Huges.
Prior to the marriage May has a son Stanley, after the death of her husband May found it difficult to cope she returned to Wales with Stanley, This is all we know of her.
I have found in the 1901 census index two John Jones platelayers

John Jones 27 Carmarthen Cornwell Glam Merthyr Tydfil Platelayer on Railway
John Jones 32 Carmarthen Llanelly Carmarthen Llanelly Rural Platelayer on Railway
Please can someone look to see if there is a May Jones with one of them, this would be a start.
I did a search for May Jones there were about 350!

Thank you ,
 Ann E

Hi Ann,

It's not the Llanelly John Jones.
He's single, at home with parents no-one else in the household.

Still looking for the other one
