« on: Wednesday 15 October 08 12:37 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone, im trying to find the parents of my great great great grandad William Guest. He was born around 1821 in Lancashire and married Sarah Shaw in 1844 in Leigh, Lancashire. I ordered his marriage certificate and the father is listed as, what looks like, Samuel Guest but i can find no trace of him on the 1841 census or anywhere else!! so any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your help in advance

Hi,

The opc site also has the burial of a Samuel Guest of Astley aged 48, on 24th December, 1839 at St. Stephen Astley.

Hi,

I suspect that this could be the family living in Astley Green and the ages of the younger children have also been rounded down.
Richard is 18 on the 1851 census.

Astley Green, Astley
HO107/513/1 folio 57 page 22

Mary Guest, 45. Silk Weaver
William 15,
Alice, 10
Martha, 10
