Looking for Warner family bible - Leicestershire
« on: Thursday 16 October 08 18:28 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a Warner family bible. It was last known to be with a family member in the 1970's. It is believed that the family member fell on hard times and possibly sold the bible in the 1970's possibly in the Leicestershire area. The bible was known to have a list of family members and would most likely have included the followings names :

Ernest Isaac Warner
Isaac Cooke Warner
Isaac Warner
Joseph Warner
Clara Annie Warner
John Warner

These people were all born in Leicestershire, in Leicester, Loughborough, Shepshed, Coleorton and possibly other places. It is not known how far back the list went but our family were Particular Baptists in 1700's and the bible might have reference to the PB church of the above locations.

Unfortunately the family member has long since died and the bible was not passed onto her only child. If it was not sold in Leicestershire, it is possible that it might have been part of the house clearance in Workington or Maryport Cumbria in the 1980's.

If anyone knows of a bible that sounds similar, please get in touch.

Many thanks - Framesmiths1816
