Hi Graham

Hope you slept well!!!

I couldn't resist having a try this morning......

I have found a death for James Coulson in 1904 aged 43 - Devonport 5b, 227

What's more, I have found a marriage for an Ellen S Coulson in 1926 - Newton Abbot 5b, 195 to Rupert E Hobday............!!!!

Surely not.......... :D

Goodness me!

I've been at work all day but have been wondering about the Foster's.

Surely the Ellen S Coulson who married in 1926 isnt the same one is it?!!!  ;)

Anything is possible, thats for sure!

Graham

Can't be too many Ellen S Coulsons about surely........I'm off out now but looked back through the census yesterday......

Didn't get to look at William Mitchell (senior) in 1901, 1891 census to find out HIS father/mother

I agree - there cannot be that many Ellen S Coulson's around.

It'd be useful to find her death on the GRO Index - if we had her age then we would know if it was her for sure.

William Mitchell is more difficult. I cannot find an easy contender for him in 1901 or 1891. There is a William Matthew Mitchell in Cheshire but he was killed in WW1.

Do you have more details of him? I suppose the best bet is to get his and Ellen's marriage certificate. That would have his Father's name and occupation which may help in tracing him.
