Thanks Dee.  I'm supposed to be baking a zucchini slice myself - at least it's in the oven now.  ;)

I found a couple of possible WALKERs at the NSW bdms online.  But WALKER is as common a surname as SMITH and it pays to be careful.

I've already checked for IGIs at http://www.familysearch.org also.

I'll see what my distant rellie on the WALKER line can dig up re paperwork.  He didn't know anything about our DENNER line and his WALKER/NEWBEGIN connection so I've been sharing that with him.

I'm off to see if I can find WALKER burials online.

Marriages of the children are proving hard for the common given names....with a surname like Walker there are just too many options.

However, I have found this one....entered twice.....

Sydney Lee WALKER born MELB married Louisa Sarah DADDO in 1902
Ref = 60R

Also entered as
Sydney Leo WALKER born MELB married Louisa Sarah DADDE in 1902
Ref = 60

Gosh Dee, you have been working hard on my behalf.  THANK YOU!!!!

Question - would 'Cobu' be for Coburn or Coburg, Victoria?

Thanks Dee.

I've found a few of 'my' WALKERs buried at Benalla, including Walter William Melbourne WALKER and wife Mary Anne WALKER nee DENNER, including a mystery 'Neville Fred Denner Walker' - he just has to be a relative with the name Denner stuck in there.

http://www.benallacemetery.com/home

I'll keep looking.  Shall close post when I hear via email from my WALKER chap.
