Hello ,
Thank you both for your great help. I could not access that web site properly to see more details. I was hoping to see where Wiliam Henry Snell was born .
Regards
Alan

Hello ,
Do you know how accurate these passenger lists are ? I can't find Sarah on anything but we know she went over in 1907 . I am wondering if my great gran Ellen Prout , their sister , went over as well as I can't find her anywhere in Britain from 1912 , no marriage , or death .
Has anyone else known people not transcribed on passenger lists ?
Regards
Alan

Where does 1907 come from? if from 1911 census the year could be incorrect. Another possibility is that the name is mis-transcribed from the passenger list.

Hello Helena,
Thank you for that , is there any record of Sarah giving birth in 1919 as the story says that she died giving birth or a little later after childbirth, I would like to trace her child or children eventually .
Regards
Alan

Hello Aghadowey ,
I am at present in contact with Alice's daughter Ivy { aged 85 } via her daughter in law in Toronto . She tells me that Sarah and William went over in 1907 which may be right as they married in Toronto in 1908. It may be as you say that passenger lists were transcribed wrongly , it would not be the first time in the course of research I found Prout spelt as Pruet on Ancestry !
Regards
Alan

Hi Alan,

this is the only child I was able to find for Wm & Sarah. Unfotunately the Ontario birth records on ancestry stop in 1909. I was taking a quick look in the death records when I came across this one. Didn't find a record in 1919 for a child belonging to Wm & Sarah. Thinking maybe the baby survived?

I did find a record for Wm's second marriage to a Margaret Burgess on Nov 20, 1920.
