Galloway - Tynemouth

  I'm trying to find death date for Robert Cairns Galloway b.1909 Willington Quay, Tynemouth.
His Father Elijah died in 1916 and his Mother died in 1919.
His sisters Joyce and Cathrine were split up and went to stay with other families. I was told that Robert died young but I know he was alive in 1915.
Can anyone help? I've tried going through the BMD's with no success.

Up to what year did you search for Robert's death registration ?

The FreeBMD web site appears to cover up to c1930 from Tynemouth Registration District and from Newcastle Reg District.

I was able to search beyond that up to end of 1934, but without success.

Just a wee note. You say Robert was born 1909 Willington Quay, Tynemouth.

Willington Quay lay within the "township" of Willington, which lay in the Parish of Wallsend. The Parish of Wallsend for the purpose of BMD registrations, lay within a Registration District called and based at Tynemouth.

So although Willington and Willington Quay would have been connected with Tynemouth for BMD registration purposes, they would not normally have been geographically or ecclesiastically connected to Tynemouth.

Hi Michael thanks for your prompt reply. I tried searching up to the 1950's I didn't restrict myself to an area in my search while there were a lot of Robert Galloways none seemed to fit the bill (I have a birth cert).
