Thanks for the effort all......in answer to your question puterman.....there probably was other photos on top of it, but there was a wooden cross beam splitting the left hand side of the porch, with a larger piece of glass being on top.......If that makes sense  :)

Not very clever, but it works, puterman. I blew the picture up 300% could just about see the lines there, so I picked the darkest colour in the line with the dropper, and enhanced where the lines were faded, then blurred in with the blur tool to make it look less stark...

Ah, a technique I do use, but not always successfully. It seems to have worked very well for you. At present I am in at 600 - 1500% rebuilding the faces. David.
