back again

when I first posted this and realised I had been wrong in my 'calculation' that Mary Jane Adams parents were William Adams and Elizabeth Bray, I thought that I had an 'easy peasy'  line here , even though this has changed to the mother being Elizabeth Sophia Clark/e I still thought it would be  easy ........ now there is nothing on IGI to verify the older Adams and Clarke peeps.... so now Not so easy peasy

  I have read all your post really quickly but still have to reread ....to let it sink in ... on certain censuses Elizabeth Adams has a middle  initial "S" and one that has been transcribed as an 'L' which could easily be an "s" ....so Ospreays find of Williams wife as Elizabeth Sophia Clarke is bril ..

hopefully we can confirm parentage soon , with the birth cert of my gt grandmother Mary Jane Waterfield nee Adams .

as to the naval records of Frank (Francis Mitchell) Waterfield ...i do have them ... thanks ... he was a stable boy who rose the the rank of snr Petty Officer RN ...the Waterfields are a whole other convoluted story .... maybe the next hunt ....

I had a photo coloued/restored here at RC ...it's a great picture of Mary Jane Waterfield nee Adams with her 7 daughters ... my Nan Mabel is sitting to the left of her...the other picture is of Francis Mitchell and mary Jane Waterfield in their later years.
