Redruth was a registration district so any birth entry should be Redruth

Not all births were registered in those days as it only became compulsory in 1875

His parents were John & Bessy according to the 1861 census

Hi Kim,

Looks like they moved about a bit. In London by 1841, Jersey in 1851 and Devon in 1861

The Camelford one will be the son of Arthur and Millicent in St Teath.

I haven't had any luck with a baptism but this looks like the parents marriage. I note John and Betsy both list a pob of Falmouth in 1861

John BOASE =Betsey BROADLEY 17 May 1836 Falmouth

Cheers Kris  :D

Hi Kris
Yes I have his parentage and I have managed to get back to late 1600's so far, I have Johns burial records his teachers registration and other things etc.etc but just cannot seem to trace the birth, neither can i find his marriage to Mary, she was a Boucher and came from Lincolnshire.
Thanks again Kim
