Looking for Burial information on my Ancestor Smith Anderson.
He was born in Scotland in1861.
Emigrated to America.
He died in Glasgow whilst visiting from America.
He died on the 20th of April 1935 at 4 Park gate,Glasgow usual address 2452 Encinal ave Alameda, California
Cause of death Carcinoma of Prostate operation Syncope.
The informant of his death is his Niece Alice Rankin of 948 Sauchiehall st. Glasgow
I am assuming he was buried in Glasgow but I suppose it is feasible his body was shipped back to America i really do not know.
Any help would be most appreciated with burial records or article in local newspaper of his death.

Still looking and wondering if Smith was buried in Glasgow or shipped back to America for burial any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
I phoned the Council office for burials at the Trongate and was informed that not all records are computerised and it would cost 59 pounds for a search to be carried out on my behalf.
In the past I have found them helpful in the past and happy to do a quick search when I have went in person.
Maybe I was the 462nd phone call of the day and was the last straw!!
( I did phone late Friday afternoon).
He died at 4 Park gate would that be near Park circus?
The informant of his death as I mention lived in Sauchiehall st.
If in fact he was buried in Glasgow what grave yard do you think he was Buried in ?
