War Memorial Site [ great resource ]
« on: Sunday 02 November 08 22:51 GMT (UK) »
While looking for stuff about my grandad [ he was based at Ringway Airfield as an airmen back in time.] I found this awesome site(click me ) all about Chesire Raf bases, memorials [ with pics] and as well as a list of what looks like every person from Chesire who ever died in the wars ,there are pictires taken in and around many streets,so people can even see where ancestors lived.

Its well worth a visit for anyone who was born /lived in Chesire or with ancestors who did.

Thank you for bringing this excellent site to my attention. :)
I have often wondered whether my great uncle was recorded on a local war memorial and through this link I have been able to find him.
It is great to add another piece to the picture I have of the family.
