Hi Irene,

I don't know if your research includes Barnet ( with one 't', although I have seen it spelled with 2).

I have recently discovered that the Barnet branch of my family which ended up in Keyingham , East Riding originated in North Riding.

My greatx3 grandfather James Barnet was born in Wistow in about 1787. I think his parents were James and Elizabeth. I have found Wistow on the map - near Cawood and Selby but sorry, I have no idea if this is anywhere near Kirby Malzeard because I can't find it on the map

Jill.
HELP!!!

 BATHSHEBA BOOTHROYD bn c. 1802 W. Yorks.

Baptism nowhere to be found. Possibly in a nonconformist church near ALMONDBURY or HUDDERSFIELD.

Hi Jill,

Kirby Malzeard is about 15kilometres north west of Ripon which by my route planner on Microsoft Map Point is approx. 90 kilometres north of your areas.

My husband's ancestor Hannah Barnett (could be one t) married John Pickersgill and census info indicates she was born in Kirby Malzeard about 1798.

They lived in Stepleton where their son Richard Pickersgill was born in 1838, he moved to London and his daughter Emma was my husband's grandmother.

In 1881 Hannah Pickersgill (nee Barnett) was living with another of her sons at Croft, Yorkshire.  She was 83 years old and a widow.

Other than that I have nothing on her unfortunately.

Thank you for your time.

Regards, Irene
