Hi Sue

If you select 'search ship' then 'browse by ship' then Arcadia you will see that it sailed 3 times in 1954

Departure date     Departure port Destination port Transcript Images
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
22 February 1954 London             Sydney               VIEW  VIEW
3 July 1954           Southampton    Lisbon                VIEW  VIEW
26 October 1954  London             Sydney               VIEW  VIEW
Maybe the surname you're searching is incorrectly recorded.
Hi
Thanks Jay I was just taking a look, the people i am looking for were on the ship that sailed 22 feb london to sydney.
As you say the names my be miss spelt.
What i need is the full passenger list but it says there are 28 pages and they are 30 points each or i have to pay 14.95 and at this moment in time that is not possible so i will have to save my pennys.
It was my Aunty who was on the ship and she wants to try and get back in touch with some of the passengers.
Thanks for all your help
Sue
The Arcadia that left 22 Feb arrived March 1954 in Australia, I think (Freemantle, Melbourne and Sydney arrivals in March 1954 are all listed on Recordsearch). If you go to Australia recordsearch and search for (all words) March 1954 Arcadia, it brings up a few names of people who were on that ship (surnames: Powers, Braniff, Cartwright, Sheridan, Castagna).  They also have the full passenger list at the National Archives; you can order a digital copy which may be cheaper than getting it from findmypast.
