I am wondering whether the Ralph Lindop who married a Sarah Brockley at Barthomley St Bertoline by license on 7/5/1787, is in any way related to the Richard Lindop born 2/3/1778 in Haslington? Richard's parents were also a Richard and Sarah . Richard (1778) subsequently married an Elizabeth Williams on the 19/2/1810 in Coppenhall.

There's a book in Crewe Library on the life of Richard Lindop of Haslington.  I believe he was a farmer, and I think he wrote the account of his life.

Did you manage to find a link between Ralph and Richard LINDOP?

I am descended from Richard b1778 and have quite a few Lindops in my tree but I cannot confirm any link at the moment.

Did you notice that you are replying to a post dated 7th November 2008 Ter1 hasnt been on-line since 3rd July.
There could be many reasons why he hasnt been on rootschat.

My name is James Lindop and I am a descendant of Richard Lindop, born 2 March 1778, in Haslington, through his son, William (1812 to 1889).  I wonder if you have found the information that you were looking for.  I am trying to find records for Richard and his parents: Richard senior and Sarah ( Moreton/Moulton or Sutton).  Perhaps you have found them?
