Need help with RCAF clean please

Hello fellow restorers

I'm having a go at cleaning a couple of photos for Remembrance day.
I have tried cleaning this pic of my uncle and not very happy with the result.   

Can you give it a better clean to smooth out the skin especially?
Colour is most welcome ... eyes brown, brown-black hair, uniform RCAF blue

Not exactly sure about the uniform colour Kate, I seem to remember they were a little darker than the R.A.F.
