Hi Kate ..I dont know about anyone else but I think your version is great !! I certainly dont think he needs his skin smoothing out.It looks like the real thing to me and requires very little to better it. But that's just my humble opinion ...

I did google that one China but thought the colour may have been distorted being behind the glass, thanks anyway.

Thanks for the sample China, I saw this one too and it's wartime. The coloured restores look spot on. My uncle, a 20 year old flight sergeant wasn't overseas and died when the bomber he was in crashed while on patrol in heavy fog on the east coast.

Thank you Poll, I saw the original of this a long time ago and the skin looked more like a present day photograph and it had been coloured. I can't smooth or filter this photo as well as other restorers and my colouring isn't up to scratch. Adding colour in this case is a match for the tinted original.
