21 Nov  1861 William McIlfatrick to Martha Anne Limerick Aghadowey Presbyterian

Martha Anne, of Meathpark (Ballybrittain townland), was the daughter of Thos. Limerick. Witneeses were William Heaney (Cullycapple) and John Anderson (Lisnamuck)- neither related to bride or groom.

thanks Aghadowey but again not the names I am looking for. There seems to be every other name except the one that I am looking for.
Did anyone come across the birth for the Robert Limerick who lived in Ballylawn? If his parents were Robert and Catherine it would prove that he was a brother of Margaret.
There is no record of any Limericks in the Moville records except for Robert and Frances' children. The parish priest said that Limerick was not a name local to that area but moreso Derry, so they have to be somewhere.
I have trawled every site for weeks and cannot find any trace of the marriage or births for the ones that I am looking for.

Aghadowey is correct. Where I put ROBERT please read CHARLES. My apologies.

Aghadowey and kingskerswell, thanks again.Yes I have all those births for Roberts children.I got them from the priest in Moville Parish. There were about 6 or 7 altogether.
It is Roberts  birth or Margarets birth or marriage that I am stuck on(the generation before) I think Margaret was born circa 1819 and married circa 1838/39 and not early 1840s as stated in my first post.
She died on 20/12/1882 in Glasgow annd on her death cert her age was down as 63 which makes her birth year around 1819 and her parents were Robert and Catherine.
On Rootsweb I found a Robert Limerick born in 1801 in Ballykelly(Tamlaght Finlagan) .I wonder if this would be Margarets father?
Would it be a good idea to go to the Heritage Library in Derry?

In the 1831 census index for Co.Londonderry there is no Robert listed for Ballykelly. However one is listed in the Parish of Glendermet in Londonderry city. In Ballykelly are listed George, Samuel, Thomas and William.

Derry Genealogy Centre closed around last December and as far as I know they've not reopened.

The reason we are posting details about these Limericks from Moville is to give you as much information as possible since Limerick is a fairly uncommon surname.

Where did you get 'Robert Limerick born 1801 Ballykelly' ?

Aghadowey, There is a thread on Ancestry.com dated 2000/2001 referring to an entry in a family bible for Robert Limerick b1801.
