Hi srp...,

Is this your girl?

Name: Frances Kelly
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1839
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Voyage Arrival Date: 3 Mar 1859
Vessel Name: Hornet

Appears on the NSW Assisted Passengers list on A******y.  I can't find a marriage or a death for her in NSW that appears obvious (but I don't have enough info to be sure).

Cheers

Oh wait, I lied.

Marriage sighted in 1871 (making her v old for first marriage) to a William Wallace in Sydney.  Ref: 492/1871.

Lookong for death to x-ref parents....

Hmm...may not be able to do that comfortably.  There is the death of a Frances S Wallace in 1919 who has a mother Frances S.  Not 100% sure it's the right person.  Would have to find the family on the 1851 census to be sure.

Cheers

Hey Thanks for your replies
I have the info. on her marriage, and children and her death is 1919, and have the birth of her first child (illegitimate) who is my relative. It says on his birth certificate that she was 24 and came from Kent, England. However on her death certificate it says she has been in Australia 60 years, and that means she was about 14 when she immigrated, and that she was born in Windsor, England. It also states that her mother was Franes Sarah Kelly, her father who is nameless occupation is stated as a stonemason..
and thats about all i have..

Do you have  her marriage certificate.  It  can often be more reliable than a death certificate  because  the  parties  themselves are providing  the information.  We all know  that  our ancestors  had told the odd white lie or a genuine mistake because  they  may  not have really  know  just  when  they  were born.
