Have you seen the original?

Could the writing be so bad it has been misread?
There is a Mary Ann Saunders Born March quarter 1842

Bromsgrove 18/225

Could it possibly be Naomi. I have looked on various sites and the variation of spellings for Naomi has to be seen to be believed!
Noami, Neome, Naoeme.
Alternatives as I have thought about this all day much to everyone's amusement as I trot about muttering variations of Moroni under my breath. I have even tried to say the word in a broad Worcestershire accent. Anyway alternatives - Mona, Marion, Maureen, Monica, Marcia, Mariam
The staff thought my funniest one was the Welsh name (which I cant spell ) but sounds like Mif fan wee!

If you ever do find it please let me know as I wont rest till I do now.

have checked in 1842,43and 45 and can come up with nothing.
Try www.images.freebmd.org.uk
and press search button. They have all the original images on there.
The only one I found was Mary Ann Bromsgrove 18/225 for March quarter 1842.

Hi There,

Yes this Moroni is prooving to be one heck of a brick wall  :'(

I have had the same problem while trying to search for his son William henry Saunders, born in Birmingham.

I located BDM records of Moroni and his wife in Australia, well rather BDM info for children that had been born and died.

I did find a record of death for a Moroni Saunders in the indexes, but I believe this to be a son, prob first born.

Deaths Sep 1872
~~~~~~~~
Surname       First name(s)  Age      District            Vol       Page
Saunders      Moroni             5         Birmingham     6d        158
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NB: This would make D.O.B for Moroni Saunders , Circa 1867
SOURCE: Free B.D.M  & Civil Registration ENG
Noted spellings have been-Moroni, Maroni, Morona, Marion, & Sanders instead of Saunders.
IE: on one birth record, not cert it has father listed Maroni Saunders, and on the death record for same child has Moroni Sanders. ???
I have attached the birth cert, I obtained for a son born in Australia, it is in 2 pieces.
Here is the added marriage info, Im slowly getting orgnised to apply for a certificate.
West Midlands Marriage indexes for the years: 1862
MARRIAGE
Surname Forename(s)                         SMITH Sarah
Surname Forename(s)                         SANDERS Moroni
Church / Register Office Registers        West Bromwich,
                                                          All Saints Sandwell
At Reference                                      22/9/348
Just had a look at the cert  :o
You will prob have to open it seperatly on your pc, so you can alter the zoom etc, to be able to read it.
