Back to George Junr,
So when Mary was at School forbury 1887 he would have been 13, so probably would have left???
So maybe CAVERSHAM School is best place to look for his records.
Dunedin Branch NZSG http://www.genealogy.org.nz/Dunedin_183.aspx

Sadly lots of Georges round that time and area....can't find a birthdate match so far.

Theres a lot of CAVERSHAM info at this database
http://caversham.otago.ac.nz/dbaccess/index.php

***Did you think they could have had more children???
Its just at Forbury school there are 2 more children for a GEORGE TAYLOR and both say last school Caversham. Fathers address given as Maria Rd
Alexander b 5/7/1880 admitted 8/6/1887
Ellen b 26/9/1881 admitted 18/8/1887

Bye
Althea

Hello Althea,

I do not know if there were any other children but I will try and find out.

At Forbury school the name of parent or guardian was given as Helen Taylor.I have sent an email to nzgs asking for information so will let you the results.

Thanks again

Joyce

Hi Althea,

I have found that George and Helen did have more children.
Have found Alexander Taylor and he had a cherry orchard in Alexandra so I am chasing that bit of information up.
There has been no reply from Dunedin NZGS, will try again.
