Marriage records in the 1900s

Help please - I have been on FreeBMD trying to find the marriages of several members of my more recent family, probably married in the early 1920s/1930s.  I know for sure that they did marry, probably in London,  and I have their names, but can't find any record at all on FreeBMD.

Is there any where else I can look?  It's just that I must have loads of cousins out there somewhere as the couples I am looking for each had several children......   I know the childrens' names and cannot find their births, either.

Can anyone help me out please?

Many thanks for the links - back to the hunt for me then!!

I  have another question - about IGI  -  If I am looking for a married woman's death, is it likely to be under her maiden name?  I am looking for an Ann Clifford née Smith and have found an Ann Smith whose date and place of death (Berkshire in the mid 1700s) fits rather nicely with what I'm looking for........ No husband is given, however..............

On the whole burials are not shown on the IGI.  The odd one appears and some are put on there by LDS members.    Submitted records do not show the source of the information and may be guesswork.   You will need to check the burial register of the particular parish.    The National Burial Index is available to buy on CD too and covers many counties.   It is also worth looking at www.genuki.org.uk to see if they show a local death index.  Berkshire FHS might be able to help too.
