John,

Interesting information! It is always fascinating to put names to postcards from so long ago.

The postcards are currently listed on ebay with a closing bid date in 5 days so they are more then welcome to bid for them!

You can see them at: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/sallen1960 if you want to check out the other images.

Regards

Steve

Hello again, I just looked at another postcard in the collection that I listed - of the pier at Weston Super Mare and I saw that it was addressed to Daisy from Trygve. Your suggestion was perfect! A copy attached. Regards Steve

Not one of the surnames mentioned,  but the woman who previously lived in my house was Norwegian and my 90 year old mother in law tells me that the lady's parents came from Norway to establish a nail factory in Portishead.   My m in law says  the lady's maiden name was Johansen.  Her Christian name was Dogny (hope spelling right).  She had a large family, mostly all gone, but I know of one still alive. If subject still ongoing, I could try to find out more from her.
