Albert N Donovan Factory owner
« on: Friday 14 November 08 15:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone
My half uncle Albert Donovan died in Slough in 1938 and on his death certificate it says he was a wood working factory owner.  Can anyone tell me how I can find out the name of his firm or any other information about it.
Thanks for any help, Lindon

I'd try wills.

I Don't know how to get them though.

Hi
All wills after 1858 are held at the Central Probate Office in Holborn, London.  Google it and you get details of the office in York where you can order copies.   Most record offices have copies of the will index on fiche.  As you know the approximate date it should not be too hard to find him.   Another source will be local directories.
