Hi  I am looking for John Long and Catherine Collins of Dromcollogher Co Limerick.  They had a daughter Margaret b1847.

They migrated to Australia some time after but before 1870.
Where would I start to search for them  :)

If you go to www.failteromhat.com and type in the name Long and also Limerick as the county, a number of Longs will appear.  There are a couple of Johns listed in Dromcolliher (note the different spelling).  I don't know the precise date for Griffiths as it varies from one county to another, but it was somewhere 1848-1864.  However, it might give you a starting point.

Cheers
