Hi all
Can anyone tell me the embarkation point at 09 / 10 /1917.  This is not the voyage when the ship went down, I know that was in December of the same year.  I have had some suggestions on the Pic Restoration Board.  I am thinking there may be definite knowledge here.

What was the unit that embarked. That may help narrow the time/place of embrakation.

Hi Peter ,
              That word looks like France to me
             It looks to me like it was a stop over enroute to Alexandria, Disembarking 20/9 and Embarking 9/10  at Cherbourg ,France. .
            Possible  some thing caused a  delay for so many days at Cherbourg.
