WW1 mystery
« on: Sunday 16 November 08 14:43 GMT (UK) »
Please also see my post ww1 cap badge.

I am enclosing a picture of my grandfather c1916 standing at the back of his friend. It has been suggested in an answer to my post a little lower down that he belonged to the Army Service Corp. Are there any clues to his regiment in the picture.

Ahh...well...in a word...No!  ;)

All I can tell you is that the pic was taken around 1918 in Bath, and the chap seated MAY have ASC shoulder titles...

Could you post the other pic pse??
One more charge and then be dumb,
When the forts of Folly fall,
May the victors when they come
Find my body near the wall.

Thanks Scrimnet.

I have been looking through an old box with old war bits and pieces from different people from my gran. There are two brass ASC epaulettes in there which now seem to fit in with the comments I have received.
