1861? - Ridley - Llanelli

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I'm trying to find out some information regarding my G.G. Grandfarther 'John Walter Ridley' b.1835.
He was living at 9 Water street, Llanelli with his mother and siblings in the 1851 Census, and I know he died between 1861 and 1884. He had a son (my G. Grandfather) in 1861, but I have no further information about him.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for your prompt reply, it was excellent.

You may have noticed I made a mess-up with the dates of John's Death, I have corrected them on my original post (He died between 1861 and 1884). What I would like to know if possible, is were there any other children born? is it possible to look at the 1871 census for me.

just seen there is another John W. Ridley on the 1881 living in Camberwell. so the death could be
a wrong one.
