I will check out the Benzie family, David may be the same person as I've got (born 1849)

I also thought James Walker was born in Foveran, so I'll look into Forgue as well. Strangely I can't find his birth nor his parents anywhere.

if it is any help, i couldnt find ant born in forgue at about the right time. - but there are a couple born in foveran that might fit?

Sorry for going back to an old topic, but I just found this site today.

I have been researching the Benzies, my line comes from Jane Benzie (1854) Foveran. I noticed you were talking about David Benzie 1849, Jane's brother.

He married Christina Moir (parents George Moir & Christina Leslie) b 1875 Ellon, they got married in 1875, Ellon. Christina Moir's daughter Christina Michie (census1881) is actually Christina Leslie Michie Moir b. 13/02/1870 Dyce, Aberdeen. (Illegitimate- No father Named).
