I assume that the moved to Jedburgh for some reason between 1881 and Mary's death in 1885.

The IGI www.familysearch.org  has a  list of children (John, Mary, Betty, Thomasina)  for James Graham and Mary Linton, mostly patron submitted which means that they are not reliable; including one for John Graham in 1825, Eaglefield, Middlebie.

Note that John's baptism is not in the Parish Records on Scotland's People and is therefore not fully verifiable.  All his census entries suggest that he was b. Hoddam

Going beyond James Graham amd Mary Linton is a bit tricky - we only have the 1841 census to go on. This suggests that they were both 45-49 years old and b. Dumfriesshire.

There is only one Mary Linton showng in the Parish Records - in Tundergarth, bapt. 27 Sept 1798 d/o James Linton. This may or may not be her.

There are ten James Grahams showing  so it's more difficult. If they used the Scottish naming patterns for their children, it is likely that his father was John but not enough evidence.

PS wouldn't life be so much simpler if our relatives had individual names like JABEZ LINTON?

I've had more problems with the unusual names than the common or garden  ;D
