Hello Sandy,

I can't find anything on your man, other than possible birth, Dec Qu. 1890, (Northampton  3b  47), which you've probably got.

5th Aux. Petrol Company (317 Company ASC) appears to have run from Jan 1915 to Aug 1919, operating in France, Belgium and Germany. (WO 95/4164), which isn't going to help you a lot really.  :-\

Thank you Carole.

I did know about the free access as Liverpool Annie noted it on Rootschat
well before the date.

Also I have now a list of 33,000+ Northamptonshire Regiment men
Medal Cards by using the offer.  :)

I had not found him on the records hence request.

Phil as usual you come up with the sort of information I needed.  :)

Harry Roughton was my best friend's grand-father.

We have everything about him except his army life which until I was going
through the absent voters last night she had never mentioned to me.

I can now surprise her with the information found and thank you as always.
