Sorata was stranded in late 1880 on her way to Melbourne, right? (there's quite a bit about it on Google and on NZ papers past - the Duke of Manchester was one of the passengers!).  She came into Adelaide first, arriving September 3rd, and then struck a reef off Cape Jervis on her way to Melbourne.

The Times says she left Adelaide at 5pm on the 3rd September for Melbourne, with 205 passengers on board, including the Duke of Manchester and Sir Herbert Sandford. There were about 100 crew. All the passengers were safely removed from the ship and taken to Melbourne, but I can't find a list.
