also thank you for the link, although I have been trawling the bmds on there for the past few weeks......and hurrah!.....my first BERNEY birth certificate from the gro arrived today    but the birth place was Tullow beg, not Carlow Town as I had thought.

 Hi Jack if you are still doing look ups on the carlow 1901-1911 cencus and  electoral list, and can spare the time,my family all came from Carlow and should appear somewhere on these lists.The family name is Crowe. My grandfather was Matthew Mark Crowe the family lived at Rosedale Cottage Ballinacarrig,there is also an address at Burren Street.
             I would very greatful for any help you can give.

That's all I found. None on the street you mentioned.(Burren st)
(I worked with Ken (Kenneth) Crowe for 15 years when we both worked in the Irish Prison Service.)
