Cransford PRs - MAJORAM
« on: Sunday 23 November 08 23:25 GMT (UK) »
Hi, If anyone has the Cransford Parish Registers to hand, could they please take a
look for me. I am interested in Amy Majoram, 1814 - 1874, and Martha Majoram,
1807 - 1852.
I would be grateful of all and anything you can tell me of this family.
Many thanks,
Chainsaw.

The IGI have these record.

Amy Marjoram ch.16.10.1814 Cransford, Suffolk.. father Thomas... mother Elizabeth Watling....... exctracted record.

Martha Marjoram ch. 1.6.1807 Charsfield, Suffolk.  father Stephen ... mother Fanny or Francis Leggett.... submitted record so Charsfield could be wrong.

Thanks - That is very kind of you - and incredibly fast, I did not expect such a
rapid response.

Hi Chainsaw

You have Amy's baptism but if you would like to check the IGI entry and find out the occupation of Thomas MAJORAM and see if there are any siblings for Amy, it might be worth contacting the volunteer offering lookups from the Cransford Baptismal Register 1813-1900 at The Suffolk Surnames List.

O.K., I'll do that check.

The reason I was asking is because I have been working on my partners
family history. They were Muddocks, and I noted that;-
Amy Majoram, 1814 - 1874, wed William Muddock.
Martha Majoram, 1807 - 1852, wed Goss Muddock.
I thought that possibly these two ladies were related, but I have just found
another,
Sophia Majoram, 1804 - 1881, wed Thomas Muddock.

It seems to me a pattern is emerging, are these two families becoming ever
more tightly entwined, or is it all just pure coincedence.

So, now you understand why I asked, but I clearly have a way to go yet for
the answers.
