Before I begin delving into the complexities of local government enquiries, would anyone happen to know if the above property was likely to be council/housing association stock in the 1970s and 1980s?

I would say it's a council house. It's in the Aspley Estate.

I can confirm it was a Council House as I lived opposite. At that time (1940's) it was occupied by the Hunt Family.

Thanks very much. I know that two of my relatives lived in Melbourne Road in the late 1940s. One family was called Jones and the other Spurr.
