MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE 1865
« on: Monday 24 November 08 18:48 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find the marriage certiifcate for my GG Grandparents.
My GG GF was serving in the army and was stationed in South Africa at the time of the marriage.

He was in the 96th Regiment      14th Brigade
                                               72

His name was Philip Young.  He married Anne Maria Hoffield (Hoffeld) on the 10th May 1865 in Graham's Town.

If anyone can give me any tips on where to start, they would be most appreciated.

I have recently found out that my GG Grandparents,

Philip Young and Anne Marie Hoffelt (Hoffeld) were married on the 10th May 1865 in The Cathedral of St. George, Graham's Town, South Africa. (Cory MS 14 879/3)

Anne Marie was the daughter of Franz and Theresia Hoffelt, who came from Volkmarsen in Hesse, Germany.

Does anyone know how I can get a marriage certificate
