Lookup request for Denbighsire Hussars

There's a pension record for a Joseph Jordan, born 1893, Liverpool, (I found it some time ago, while I was still subscribed to Ancestry) but it said he was in the Connaught Rangers. Said he was gassed, but refused a pension.

My mum recalls that her mum's 'Uncle Joe's family didn't have much money, I wonder if this was because he couldn't work? Still, there's no way of linking to this pension record as no dependants or spouse are listed.

Could he have started in the Rangers then transferred across? Although, there appears to be a couple of years between those two photos I think, so maybe not.

The high forehead is there isn't it? As is the dimple in the chin. The hairline also looks similar, although having receded.

EDIT: Actually, the creases in the cheeks, starting by the nose, are visible in all three images to one degree or another too...

I think it's him !!  ... though he has film star looks like John Mahoney from Manchester !!

Having seen all three together I'm really beginning to think so too.

This final one is of his son Joe...with a man...who, having seen the other photos together I now think is Joseph Snr too!

Have been trying to compare them, but was struggling to see any likeness, presuming I might be seing something merely because I wanted there to be a similarity. This looks good though...
