Have been able to confirm that the album that the photos came from were from the Jordan side of the family, as it belonged to my Great grandmother Sarah Jordan, Joseph's sister in law. This should narrow the identity down to either the surname Jordan or Manion, and I've already checked the Manion side out and have accounted for all of my great nan's brothers, none of whome were in the Denbighshire Hussars.

Furthermore, the lad wearing the cap in this photo (Back left)is a Jordan...Joseph Jordan, son of Joseph Jordan, therefore I strongly suspect this is his wife and their children. Now, how much does the lad in the front resemble the soldier????

The soldier has to be a Jordan!

Hi Gadget,

It's also here....I'd posted this some time back, but couldn't find the link to it. Been trying to identify these people for a while, but now getting close....Edit: In light of recent bits of info, I'm now more convinced that the lady in this photo and the older lady are Joseph Jordan's wife, Delia.

Final pic....this has been confirmed as being the Joseph Jordan Ithat  think the soldier is. Can anyone see a resemblance? I think so, but then again?

Have you got a bigger version of that Paul. If so I could put the three pics side by side to do a comparison.

I've now checked through all the pension and service records and can't find any one else that fits the extra info that you gave me  :( :( :(

Heres a snippet ....... The Denbighshire Yeomanry lost only 15 men in WW1 and all died at home .... they were also in the Mediterranean ..... !! ..... I was beginning to wonder if they even  went overseas - thats possibly why we can't find a medal card ....  :-\!

I'm still looking !!  :)

So, if they didn't serve in a theatre of war, they wouldn't have received a medal-not even the Victory medal??
