Here you go 562244

I don't know which section or grave/lair number this is but if you got in touch with the Cemetery Records Office at Camelon, they'd have the information.

Should have said . . . . .  ::)

I think the stone is possibly the War Memorial section. I'm pretty sure the white cross you can see reflected on the front of this one is there.

Unfortunately you wont be able to view the certificates online as they're much too recent (you could if you could go to Edinburgh in person).

Were your Patterson ancestors all Denny folk? If so, I have umpteen photos of other stones in Denny Cemetery to various Pattersons and you're more than welcome to copies of photos of them and/or inscriptions. There are dozens of Patersons but only a handful of Pattersons

thanks. i will go to Edinburgh. is it the New Register House?

I know that most of them were from denny. Copies of the patterson photos would be great.

you wouldnt know if there was an ALEX / ALEXANDER DICKIE stone there too I have no idea where it would be but it most probably is in Denny aswell. Going by the information he died around 1983.

Sorry, I don't have anything for an Alex(ander) Dickie. That doesn't mean he isn't buried in Denny, simply that I either never found a stone or there wasn't one to find, but here are the other Pattersons:

1.
In loving memory of JAMES PATTERSON died 18th January 1939
Beloved husband of ANNIE ADAM died 20th August 1943
Also their daughter JEAN died 1st September 1971

2.
In loving memory of THOMAS PINKERTON died 15th July 1936 aged 66 years
Also his wife HELEN PATTERSON died 12th January 1941 aged 72 years
And their son WILLIAM died 1st February 1976 aged 75 years

3.
In loving memory of my husband HENRY PATTERSON BUSBY
Who died 17th July 1957 in his 81st year
Also his wife ELIZABETH HENDERSON who died 4th June 1962 aged 78 years

I had a wander round Denny Cemetery today and can confirm that the stone you were originally looking for is indeed in the 'War Memorial' Section.

If you're familiar with the cemetery, the stone is really easy to find.

Directions: Enter the cemetery and keep to the left, heading towards the War Memorial. On your left, you'll see a wee stable block between two paddocks, pass this and about 100 yards further on, on your right, you'll come to a set of steps. Go up these steps to the first 'tier' and turn left. The stone is on the right hand side and I think it's Section H, Grave/Lair 557. If you look across the Denny to Falkirk Road, the Horsemill Inn is almost directly opposite and this is the same direction as the stones faces.
