What about Alices surname being Cornthwaite and not Cornwraithe, there are quite a few births for Alice Cornthwaites around the correct time.

BMD  has Rose E FORRESTER death 1913  aged 34  Maybe he remarried

In 1901 Rose is with her parents and daughter Nellie 2months at 39 Cosgrave Street Cleethorpes, which is where Nellie married from Rose is down as married and there is another grand child Roase I aged 2

I think the marriae didnt work and rose went back to her parents he either remarried or lived with CORNTHWAIT/E

Or is ALice next of Kin does it say daughter

There are marriages for a Nellie Victoria FORESTER daughter of Harry

One of the witnesses is a GRAY

Old Clee Parish Church Grimsby   26/06/1922
SUTHERLAND   EDMUND BEALL   24    ship's steward   473 Grimsby Rd   JOHN   brass finisher
FORESTER NELLIE VICTORIA 21    household duties 39 Cosgrove St, HARRY   labourer
Wit: ARTHUR E. GRAY   VIOLET MAUD BELL

Anthony Senior's marriage

St.James, Grimsby   20/05/1868
FORESTER   Anthony
PENNY   Annie Short

So 1881 cenusu is Anthony 34 Smack Owner "Harry's" father

The Marriage is for Anthony Harry aged 19 so 1880 the one on 1881 aged 1

Thank you for that Pike - there is certainly something odd going on here, either the name Anthony is wrg - or the age is wrong, as Anthony was Harry's elder brother.  We have sent various e-mails to authorities to see if they can throw some light on it.

You have certainly put a lot of effort into helping me solve this riddle and I really appreciate it.

Thank you again

As ALice's father William died in 1921 Sculcoates  maybe this is when he became related through marriage  to her  Alice married in 1923 to a REDFERN   if it's the same one!!!

Did Harry die in WW1?
