:(

Hello Althea,

John's birth cert came today.
Another disappointment as no info as to where parents came from.

John Wilson
Born 16 Aug 1863  Panmure
Father Thomas Wilson
Mother Mary Wilson (Cook)

Profession  Soldier
Informant   Jane Brown wife of James Brown
Farmer
Panmure

At least the parents names are definite this time.
I had hoped for more but maybe some good will come from this    ::)

Cheers
Joy

There is only one Tom WILSON & Mary COOK on freebmd between 1840-1863.

1846  in Penkridge ?, a bit early for our guys considering the lack of known brothers and sisters, but worth a thought.

Guess its time for soldiers records  .....

I got excited when I looked at the Fencibles
Thomas wilson there and saw Mary BROWN
But he was b 1802 and SON of John and Mary BROWN..his wife was Elizabeth Murphy, dau named Elizabeth b 18444 had 4 more children...could have had son THomas when first got hereand then he marries/child 1863...just pushing it a bit..think I'm just swayed by the BROWN informant

Bye
Althea
