Natalie....there is a new post by Forster

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,347353.0.html

I thought it may be a nickname.  Unfortunately there aren't any online electoral records for SA.   I only have the 1909 ones...and I had hoped to find a BARRETT family living at Wolseley.  I always look in both SA and Vic records for the 'border' towns....no pun intended.

Cheers

You could try SA Archives for the school rolls for the period

Natalie,

does  it  clearly  say  Grove Barrett  on  the  back on  the  photo  and does the photo show the name of the School or is it on  theback of  the photo as well?

HI Jenn
Unfortunatley I only have a photo copy of the photo - believed to be from SA archives and the photo clearly says on the front
"State School - Wolesley 1912"
and the names are hand written on the bottom of the photocopy ?.
could be mispelt ?

Hi again....Jenn's suggestions are worthwhile considering and wonder if you could scan the name and post to the thread.   :)  Unless of course you feel it is definitely "Grove".  Just a thought.

Cheers

Hiya

Unfortunatly it seems I can't view your family tree at Ancestry.com without signing up for a subscription (which I do not wish to do at this point)

Is there a possibility you could email me a basic version of it as a word doc or PDF? My direct email is

(and just to avoid confusion, ej henderson is a character I have been dabbling with in some creative writing over the years).

I am focusing on the connection with the Warman part of the family, particularly Edna Esther and her husband.

Thank you for all your help.
