HMAS Sydney 2 Memorial
« on: Monday 01 December 08 05:18 GMT (UK) »
I have just returned from a car tour to Victoria and Canberra to attend memorials for the 645 souls lost on the 19th November 1941 when "Sydney" sank with all hands after a battle with HSK Kormoran which also sank.
My uncle Acting Petty Officer ( training) Frederick Arthur Tabor was among them.
We surviving relatives were made to feel part of the Sydney Familyand the RAN did us proud.
I intend to upload some snaps taken by me on the trip
