Percy H. PILL. Sgt,Wilts Regt 7th Bn.
« on: Monday 01 December 08 09:30 GMT (UK) »
In my hand I have a copy of GWR Magazine Dated October 1917 [bought at car boot sale] 3 pages, list ,with photo,s of men who lost their lives in the war [GWR Employees :'( 51 photo,s in fact ,named and workplace. Many from Wiltshire.
My interest lies in  this Percy H PILL  Sergt No 12333 Wilts Regt[kia 24-4-17] because my Gt Aunt  Charlotte Laura Williams [younger sister of South Marston Poet Alfred Williams 1877-1930] Married a Mr Thomas PILL, bn Little Hinton ,Percy H Pill was as well I now find [1891 census]
By all accounts some of  the Pill family had a Shop in VICTORIA Road Number 142,run by Mrs Fanny and Miss Millicent [ 1923 Kellys Directory]  Charlotte Laura  was living at 121 Montague Street Swindon in 1922.
Did any Rootschatter lose a relative in WW1 before Oct 1917, GWR Employee, all GWR  area covered!! because their image can still be seen in my Magazine along with job description. Any other chatter interested in PILL??
