Yes, Pauline - same as the 1871 chap anyway - but the occupation is clerk war office, which is nothing like paper dyer or glass globe cutter as in the records found on the earlier thread!

1861 census (ref as above)

CHOVEAUX
Louis N Head Marr 27 - clerk in war office Pall Mall - Southwark Surrey
Ann C W M 26 - Middx Kingsland
Clara J T dau 5 - Surrey Camberwell
Isabelle A dau 12 - do
Florence dau 9 months - do
 + 2 servants

Address 7 Park St, CamberwellWill transcribe ...

So is this "our" man??

The 1871 census is the son Louis Nicholas (junior) with his father and stepmother on the 1851 census -  the son of Louis Nicholas senior's first wife Catherine. Son Louis is not on the 1841 census with his mother and siblings.

1841 census HO107 460/7 folio 15
Milton Gravesend Kent
Cathene Choveaux 40  Shopkeeper
Josephine Choveaux 15
Mary Choveaux 11
Henry Choveaux 5
Frederick Choveaux 3
none born Kent

Unless the 1866 marriage belonged to the chap who died 1875?

We have an address of Gt Sutton St, Clerkenwell for a birth in 1865 - which fits neither the 1861 nor the 1871 census for the son.

I had thought it was the father marrying three times (since his son was already married and having children in Camberwell). His occupation on the 1851 census was an engineer  - a lot closer to glass globe cutter than a clerk.

First marriage to Catherine Helley
27th August 1821 Hampton Middlesex

Their son Louis Nicholas (junior) died in Wilton Somerset in 1912

Here's a spanner!

1871 census for the Dad

RG10/700/76/50

CHOUVEX
Lewis N Head Mar 72 - clerk - Middx Hanover St
Amelia C Wife Mar 52 - Middx North Audley St
Catherine A dau U 25 - do St John's Wood
William A son U 23 - clerk - Surrey Camberwell
Mary FLOATER lodger W 64 - nurse - Middx St Giles

Address: 57 Bridge Road West, Battersea, Surrey

So both candidates now have wives and occupations that don't match!

It really does mean the details of the marriage to Jane Watkins need to be found - if the couple did indeed marry.
