Hi Jan,

on familysearch there are christenings for Lloyd and Ellis Griffiths, both on the 25.12.1837, mother
Mary Griffiths. On freebmd I can only find the birth entry for LLoyd, Dec. Q 1837. Could they be the
same?
There are a lot of Griffiths, chr. Penley. Perhaps the best way to go would be to sort them out . No Martha.
Regards, Peonie

Hi Jan, no wonder I couldn't find George 1814/16. Mr & Mrs Chadwick baptised in bulk ;D
Holt baptisms children of Charles & Elizabeth Chadwick. Holt. Gardener.
March 31 1822. George & John.
Aug 26 1824. William. Charles & Clementine.

There is baptism Feb 8 1831 for Hannah base d/o Elizabeth Chadwick. abode, Holt.

Baptisms for the children of George & Elizabeth Chadwick. Holt. Labourer.
June 17 1860. Eliza.
Dec 8 1861. Elizabeth.
Oct 4 1863. Emily.
Feb 22 1866. Mary.
June 20 1869. Sarah.
Jan 12 1873. George.

The only Emma I could see was baptised Sep 29 1839 d/o Thomas & Sarah Chadwick. Holt. Labourer.

Have a think.

Paul

hi Paul,
thanks for that, another step closer.  its no wonder i get confused, none of them seem to know how old they are. I've found George on the 1841-1881 census's and he ranges 1814/16 and his wife Mary Griffiths 1841-1891,who ranges from 1811/17. its great that you can verify the parents of George. you wont find Emma though as I've now found out she was born in penley, flint, the same as her mother. all the info is very much appreciated, regards, Jan.

Hi. I too am interested in the chadwicks of holt.  My grandma was Lilian Chadwick and her father was Peter Chadwick and his father Stephen Chadwick. The family lived in frog lane, holt and were market gardeners. It would be nice if you contacted me and could swap some info. thanks
