Bien sūr! The louder the better 8) 8)

Interestingly I can't see a Susan Evans birth registered in Bridgwater in 1840, but there is
Dec quarter 1840 Bridgwater 10 303 Susan Mounsher

Susan Evans was 9 months in June ...

Hi there

Found your post re the Mounsher/Evans family. For some reason on the various census the family changed their name between Mounsher and Evans. My husbands line is from Albert Mounsher b 4/6/1846, his parents were Nathaniel Mounsher(Evans) 1818-1896 and Caroline Gard. Nathaniel's parents were William and Jane and it is most likely that Susan Evans (Mounsher) was Nathaniel's sister. She was living with her widowed Mother Jane at West Street in 1851.

Nathaniel's son Albert 1861-1935 was the only one of his children he registered as Evans and some of Albert's children took on the name Mounsher-Evans.  Two of his children, Clifford Mounsher-Evans d 1906 and his sister Ivy May Mounsher-Evans d 1988 are buried in the Bristol Road Cemetary in Bridgwater.

My Father in law can remember a Granny Evans when he used to visit his Cave relations in Bridgwater.
Most confusing family, I am visiting the records office in Taunton again tomorrow to try and sort out exactly who is who ....lol

Not much further unfortunately

St Marys Church Bridgwater
William Mounsher bp 14 Aug 1814 to William and Jane ref page 47 ent 374
Nathaniel Mounsher bp 4 Oct 1818 to William and Jane ref page 148 ent 1178
Ann Mounsher bp 20 May 1821 to William and Jane ref page 218 ent 1741

No entries for Susan or Elizabeth and other two churches in Bridgwater do not have baptisms going back that far.

Marriage 1 May 1852 St John Church Bridgwater
Isaac Dyment, bat ,Gardner living at Bridgwater, Father William Dyment a Farmer
Susan Podger, widow, living at West Street, Bridgwater Father William Evans a labourer
witnesses hard to read William Ward and ? Podger.

Alice Ann Podger was baptised at St Marys Bridgwater 25 March 1847 p 142 ref 1183
Parents William and Susan, looks as if Father was a watch maker, but hard to read.

No baptisms for Alice Diment, Ellen Diment or Eliza Diment that match up with entries for the 1861 census, parents James and Susan. Looked in all the Bridgwater churches.
